What People Are Saying...
Very pleasant and professional, takes care with his work and in doing things well. Would definitely entrust Old School Contracting with other home repairs.
Tim is a very nice guy and does excellent work.
Very friendly and knowledgeable. Quality work at a nice price point. Called on a Monday and schedule time the next morning. Up front about the costs and how to maximize the $$$
Prompt, professional and quality service. Would definitely recommend and hire again.
They did get a great job and the price was right on estimate. Gave me an honest opinion when I asked if extra work needed to be done. Will definitely call Tim again in the future.
The name of the firm says it all. IN DEPTH knowledge and skill of all areas I asked them to help with. The first was installing peckey cypress shipped from FL to match existing paneling. The material is relatively pricy, and I was reluctant to do it myself. They did it perfectly, taking into account the mix of various panel markings to match existing walls. They carefully Interfaced paneling to the irregular surface of the stone fireplace the paneling abutted to throughout its entire height. They were familiar with the material, rare here in Wi, and able to make correct recommendation for stain and method of application. The "perfect" match to the fireplace is the first compliment I receive from guests. I sheepishly admit I didn't do it, and give out Old School Contracting's contact number or card. The second project was mounting a kitchen wall cabinet I built, mostly from solid oak. I'm too old to mount it myself, as are most of my friends, and it was a small job which many firms passed on. They were not only willing to do it, but also to objectively critique my work, and to share the knowledge and techniques they gained by building custom cabinets for other homes that will enable me to proceed to my next cabinet. I am considering a tricky small bath project in the future and hope to have their help. In short, their fee was money I don't regret spending for the expertise, advice, and service. I KNOW, through limited work experience for other contractors, and more limited work for customers of my own, it was a FAIR and NOT UNREASONABLE fee for the work.
